After the fleece is dry, the next step is the picker/opener. This opens entanglements in the fiber, and blows it into a catch room, where a conditioning oil is applied to compensate for the loss of natural oils/lanolin in the washing process. This is also the first step where we can add blending fiber if desired, to begin creating a homogenous blend.
